Another Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival behind us…

Ah Maryland Sheep and Wool. It’s that festival we all love and hate at the same time. SO good to see friends, pet sheep, drool over fleeces.. but NEVER enough money to buy all the pretty, yarny, shiny things we want to fill our studios and stashes!! This year was no different…

Playing with Texture- Weavings for the Walls!

I love weaving. It’s such a fun way to play with texture.  When weaving wall hangings you can just explore different textural ideas, without worrying about drape or hand of fabric. Without those boundaries, there’s a lot of things that can happen within the cloth. Handspun creative yarns really sing when woven within these pieces.

Majacraft Magic Camp 2014- Magic Made!

I had the most amazing time while I was in New Zealand, and it ended with the wonderful weekend retreat- Majacraft Camp! A weekend of learning, community, laughter and more than a little magic!

I love New Orleans.  There, I said it. It’s one of my favorite places.  I love the food, I love the jazz and most of all, I love the people.  So when given the chance to come teach there, I needed no arm twisting!

Stitches South and SWAY Festival- Vacation Wrapped up in Shows!

These last few weeks have been a whirlwind of color and fiber and driving and oysters. It was all so much fun, it made all the months of work prepping and the hard work it takes to do a huge show.. but it’s all worth it. Especially when you get a vacation included.
