New Workshops! MN, Rhinebeck and TX Are on the Books!

It’s been a busy time here at JazzTurtle Headquarters! Giving workshops and getting ready for Spring shows.. and booking more workshops for 2014!! I have 3 new exciting workshop weekends to announce!!

Coming up in just a couple months I”ll be spending a long weekend at the super creative yarn shop, StevenBe, in Minneapolis MN. I’ll have a vending booth at Shepherd’s Harvest Festival (May 17-18), and then the fun will continue the next weekend at the shop!!
Thurs evening May 22 I will be teaching Wild Fiber Prep from 4:30-7:30. Then Friday I’ll be teaching all day with Layered Plying  in the morning (10:30-1:20) and Tailspinning in the afternoon (2:30-5:30Saturday will be a fun all day class- Bobbin to Body, Yarn Couture– where we’ll be creating wearables with the yarns we spin right off the bobbin!!  There will also be trunk shows on Tuesday afternoon/evening,  and Sunday for lunch.

I am also very excited to be teaching at this year’s New York Sheep and Wool festival in Rhinebeck NY! (Oct 16-19) This will be my first time at Rhinebeck and I’m very excited. My teaching schedule is-
Thurs- Wild Fiber-Getting Creative with your Fiber Prep (full day class)
Friday- am session- Wild Plying- Behives, Bobbles Crecents and More
pm session- Twisted Together- Layered Plying and Design-  Boucle, Crepes and Cables
Sat- am session- Color Blending, Combed and Carded- Unlocking the Spectrum
pm session- Creative Spinning to Weave- Spinning Textured Yarns to Weave with Expressive Freedom
Sun-am session- Tailspinning, The Long and Short of It
pm session- Wild Carding- Getting Creative with your Woolen Prep

The last newest workshop on the books is at the greatest little yarn shop in Texas, WC Mercantile.
It will be another fun weekend of fiber prep and spinning YarnCouture!
Registration will be via WC Mercantile, and begins in May.  check out their webpage for more information and registration.

More workshops are being planned and booked!!
