Each year, in Kansas City, a worldwide gathering of spinners happens (often in the lobby of the hotel) that sparks the soul.
The past 6 weeks included 2 of the most epic events- YarnFest in Loveland Colorado, and PlyAway in Kansas City Missouri.
As I’m getting ready for my first trip of the year, I am so excited for all the adventures that are coming. I am traveling every month to teach SOMEWHERE! I’m also teaching some amazing workshops this year, including my Art Yarn 201- Expressive Yarn Design!
One thing I love most about the Fall is festival season!! The crunchy leaves, the crisp air and everyone wearing their best woolies! This year brought me back to my favorite hometown festival, SAFF, and was my first time at the all famed Rhinebeck!
SO PLY issue 5 has arrived at my doorstep!! I’m super excited about this issue, since not only do I have an article- but it’s a peek behind my curtain!
Ah Maryland Sheep and Wool. It’s that festival we all love and hate at the same time. SO good to see friends, pet sheep, drool over fleeces.. but NEVER enough money to buy all the pretty, yarny, shiny things we want to fill our studios and stashes!! This year was no different…
In all the craziness of the Fall, I didn’t get a chance to post about my new endeavor- writing for PLY Magazine!
