We had a wonderful time in Asheville a couple of weeks ago! There’s such a great fiber community- we really enjoy participating in the Friends and Fiberworks retreats!
Each Winter and Summer, Friend and Fiberworks hosts a wonderful weekend retreat in the Biltmore Square Mall. There are classes in all sorts of fibery fun, and lots of wonderful vendors! It’s always a fun filled weekend! We had a lovely booth spot, which had my workshop space right alongside. I taught nunofelting, wildcarding and wildplying. When I wasn’t teaching I was spinning in the booth and chatting with folks. I even got a few feathers put in my hair!! After the event each night, we even had time for yummy eats in town with friends. We never miss a chance for Tupelo Honey Cafe (Sweet Potato Pancakes!!) Marco’s (best Calamari ever!) Universal Joint (they have tater tots!!)
Enjoy these photos from the show!

We’re planning on being at the Winter Retreat as well! Looking to create some hour ‘short’ workshops that cover single techniques- tailspinning, basic corespinning, coreless corespinning.. are there any other ‘short’ technique workshops you’d like to see?
