I’m so excited to share the news about a new project; Twist, The Art of Spinning by Hand. This is a curated art show, that celebrates the story, process and art of spinning yarn; and will be taking submissions from spinners from all over the world.
I am so excited because this weekend is the opening reception for the I Got a Beer art show, being put on by Cigar City Brewery in Tampa Fla.
As I’m getting ready for my first trip of the year, I am so excited for all the adventures that are coming. I am traveling every month to teach SOMEWHERE! I’m also teaching some amazing workshops this year, including my Art Yarn 201- Expressive Yarn Design!
It was so much fun returning to my beloved Lake Michigan coast for the Michigan Fiber Festival, last month. Though I may be on the other side of The Lake from Sweet Home Chicago, the Midwest love didn’t fail.
A couple of weeks ago I had a jam-packed week in Minnesota! I love coming to Minneapolis, and this trip certainly didn’t disappoint. Food, Family, Steven Berg, yarn.. what more could a trip ask for?
I’ve got a really fun trick I picked up in my travels. It’s for using super bulky yarns to warp a floor loom!! It’s quick and uses just a few easy to pick up essentials that will help you create your own textured bulky warps!!
